New Moon in Virgo, September 17, 2020

The Virgo New Moon is on September 17th and forms a lovely trine to Saturn in Capricorn. This will bring your focus to strengthening work relationships and building better rapport with your supervisors. The energy is also great for seeking a new job or a promotion.

Plus, Virgo is all about evaluating what exists and making improvements on it so your future is much brighter. This includes taking a good look at what you are responsible for. Did you screw up and hope no one was paying attention? Did you promise something and didn’t deliver? All of these circumstances want to be balanced and accounted for. You can use this New Moon to start the process of improving your current situation or moving on and looking for a better one. This is why our theme this month is stillness in action. To really dig deep, you need to stop doing and start reflecting. Let's bring in some Coventry Magic to support you in your quest.

Find time to let the world fall away. Place a Blessed Herbal Truth and Justice candle in a candle holder and light it while silently requesting your guides and your own higher self to help you reflect honestly about your job. Allow yourself to become grounded, centered, and objective. Ask the truth to be revealed, even though it might sting at first. If you are feeling stuck, here are some helpful questions. Have I been doing my best at work? Where have I fallen short of my potential? What circumstances blocked me? Was there anything I could have done to handle them differently? Did I let my circumstances be an excuse for poor performance? Was I negative or closed-minded about my supervisor or co-workers in any way? In what way did that keep me from being helpful? Who or what am I blaming for things that didn’t go well? Is this a fair assessment? What am I missing or not understanding about the situation?

If you feel triggered or see some repeating negative thoughts, allow them to flow into the candle flame to be consumed. That will help you clear your head and hear your guidance more easily.

After you are done reflecting on your side of the situation, write down all your thoughts.

Your next meditation will be about the job in general. You can do this on another day or right after the first meditation. When ready, turn your attention to the job in general. Ask again that the truth be shown to you, even if you may not like it or it triggers a reaction. If you lose focus or don’t understand, use questions to help you. What do I like about my job? What don’t I like about it? Does this job energize me or de-energize me? Do I believe in the work, the company, their vision? If the work de-energized me, is there anything in my own attitude that is contributing to that? Is this work also my purpose or is this job meant to lead me to my next job that is more aligned with my purpose?

If you feel triggered or see some repeating negative thoughts, allow them to flow into the candle flame to be consumed. That will help you clear your head and hear the truth more easily. Again, after you feel complete, write down what you learn.

You may need to do this meditation more than once. The first go-around may have brought up biases and resistance or fear or anger. The next time you may be more calm and objective. Use this information to help you improve your situation at work or motivate you to find the next opportunity to fulfill your purpose.
